Mystic River is comprised of just eight stand-alone suites, allowing for spacious rooms and serene privacy. There are two categories, the Studio Suite and the One-bedroom Suite, and both offer private patios overlooking the Macal River. All the suites feature a king bed, private bathroom, fireplace, ceiling fans, closet, safe, sofa, bathrobe, and iPod dock. The Studio Suite can fit an extra twin bed while the One-bedroom Suite offers a separate living room (for more privacy) that fits a queen and twin bed. Mystic River takes pride in its sustainable endeavors, including the generation of its own electricity and the collection and purification of their own water.

There are many on site activities to enjoy at Mystic River as well as plentiful off-property tours. The hotel property has a shallow plunge pool, horse stable, hiking trails, and complimentary canoes and kayaks to use on the river. The Jasmine Spa offers a full range of treatments in the middle of the jungle. An organic garden and small farm on site provide fresh ingredients to La Ranita Restaurant and Palapa Jungle Bar, such as eggs, goat cheese, yogurt, ricotta, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and other specialty artisanal cheeses. When you’re not relaxing by the pool, canoeing the Macal River, or hiking the trails, make sure to sign-up for nearby guided tours. Some of the off-site tours include canopy zip-lining, waterfall rappelling, cave tubing, bird watching, nature hikes, Mayan ruins, and day trips to Guatemala to see the famous Tikal site.
