Belize Family Getaway
Belize Family Getaway
Belize Family Getaway: A pocket-friendly trip to see Belize’s main highlights in two safe, family-friendly destinations. After a visit to the Belize Zoo, you’ll stay three nights just outside the town of San Ignacio in Western Belize. Your hotel is located along the majestic Macal River, perfect for river tubing and canoeing when you’re not out exploring nearby Mayan ruins such as Xunantunich, Cahal Pech, ATM Cave, and Caracol. Cave tube, zipline, and/or rappel your way from inland Belize to the calm, blue Caribbean Sea for the remainder of your stay. Your newly constructed villa sits just outside of Placencia and comes with access to all the resort’s amenities – three pools, spa, marina, three restaurants, daily yoga, and watercrafts. Spend your days soaking up the sun and playing in the water and your evenings walking up and down the boardwalk in town in search of restaurants and boutique shops. Don’t forget to incorporate at least a day (or two) of snorkeling or diving nearby cayes for incredible marine life viewing.

Fly into Belize Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE). Outside the airport you’ll find your private driver who will be holding a sign with our logo and your name on it. They will then assist with your luggage and drive you from Belize City to San Ignacio. Feel free to stop at anytime during your private ground transfer for photo opportunities, restrooms, lunch, or to simply stretch your legs. If your international flight arrives early enough in the day, take advantage of the open afternoon with a stop at the Belize Zoo. Learn about Belize’s common and rare species that you may likely see again during your week’s visit. After your stop at the zoo, continue onwards to the western Cayo District and check into your eco-retreat at Table Rock. After a full day of travel, unwind with a tropical beverage in their open-air bar and restaurant. A delicious and fresh gourmet dinner is the perfect way to end your first day and start your Belize vacation. Enjoy a restful night’s sleep with the sounds of the rainforest and cool jungle breezes in your screened bungalow
A hearty farm-to-table breakfast at Table Rock is the perfect start to you first full day of adventure. Choose between a guided tour of the Mayan Underworld within the ATM Cave or reach new heights with panoramic views atop Xunantunich. Return to Table Rock in the afternoon and cool off by tubing down the Macal River. Alternatively, hop in a canoe and paddle to the neighboring Chaa Creek Resort for a swim in their pool. While you’re there make sure to visit to their butterfly farm.
For those that prefer a day in, explore over two miles of hiking trails around Table Rock’s 105-acre nature preserve. Canoe into San Ignacio to explore market day, The Iguana Project, or Cahal Pech. For those that prefer another guided tour, spend a full day visiting Belize’s largest Mayan site, Caracol.
Make your way from the tropical jungle to the warm Caribbean waters via a tour transfer. Choose between ziplining, cave tubing, rappelling, or a combo of these activities while transferring from San Ignacio over to Placencia. Check into your villa overlooking the lagoon and enjoy the colorful sunset. Head into town to explore one of the many local restaurants along the boulevard/boardwalk. Head to Tutti Frutti for a gelato dessert before returning to your villa.
Wake up early for a complimentary overwater yoga session on the main pier. Enjoy breakfast in The Seaside Restaurant and then take out a complimentary pedal boat, kayak, Hobie cat, or windsurfer. Hop between three different pools on the property when you’re not snorkeling off the beach. Enjoy dinner at one of three restaurants at Robert’s Grove or try your hand at a typical Belizean dish in the comfort of your fully equipped kitchen.
Enjoy a full day exploring one of the nearby snorkel/dive sites at Silk Caye or Laughing Bird Caye. These powdery white sand islands are surrounded by calm Caribbean waters with excellent snorkeling and diving. Divers should also make sure to visit Gladden Spit in April through early June for the opportunity to see whale sharks.
Enjoy your last full day in Belize at your own pace on land or in the sea. Activities include rainforest hikes, horseback riding, chocolate making, ziplining, Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, river tubing, diving, snorkeling, and sailing. Otherwise, stick around the resort and splurge on a sea breeze spa treatment when you’re not relaxing beachside or poolside.
