Inside Out Belize
Inside Out Belize
Inside Out Belize: The best way to get to know any destination is to experience it inside and out! Stay in two iconic hotels both situated within walking distance of popular sites, delicious restaurants, and boutique shops and markets. Your first stop “inside” of Belize is to San Ignacio, where you’ll be staying at the same hotel as her majesty herself, Queen Elizabeth II. Spend your days exploring inside of caves for Mayan artifacts or climbing on the outside of ancient Mayan ruins. Then, take a domestic flight or an activity and domestic flight combo over to Ambergris Caye, Belize’s largest island. Spend your days “outside” under the sun snorkeling, diving, sailing, or simply relaxing along Belize’s white sandy Caribbean beaches.

Day 1
Fly into Belize Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE). Outside the airport you’ll find your private driver who will be holding a sign with our logo and your name on it. They will then assist with your luggage and drive you from Belize City to San Ignacio. Feel free to stop at anytime during your private ground transfer for photo opportunities, restrooms, lunch, or to simply stretch your legs. If your international flight arrives by the early afternoon, stop at The Belize Zoo in route to San Ignacio. At the zoo, you’ll see over 170 animals representing 45 species native to Belize. These animals are rescued, orphaned, born within captivity, rehabilitated or donated to The Belize Zoo to help visitors learn about wildlife conservation and environmental education. After your visit to the zoo, continue to San Ignacio where you’ll check into San Ignacio Resort Hotel located right in town. Jump in the pool to cool off after a day of travel and enjoy a delicious dinner at their open-air gourmet restaurant.
-
Day 2
After a restful night’s sleep and a fresh, tropical breakfast you’ll be ready to explore the Mayan Underworld. Choose between the Barton Creek Cave system or the ATM Cave. Barton Creek Cave is perfect for those travelers who’d like to experience one of Belize’s cave systems without all the swimming, crawling, and climbing in dark, cramped spaces. You’ll be canoeing through Barton Creek Cave for a chance to see Mayan burial grounds, pottery, and bones. ATM Cave and the less traveled Che Chem Ha Cave are for adventure seekers willing to explore the Mayan Underworld by hiking, wading, and crawling through (sometimes) tight corners. The end result of getting up close to sacrificial skeletal remains (ATM Cave) or the largest collection of Mayan pottery (Che Chem Ha) is worth every minute!
-
Day 3
After breakfast, walk the medicinal trail located on the resort’s property to learn about Mayan natural healing remedies. Then, make your way to the Iguana Project to interact with iguanas while learning about conservation efforts and their rehabilitation back into the wild. Walk into town for lunch at one of many local restaurants and spend the rest of the afternoon touring both Xunantunich (30 minutes away) and Cahal Pech (in town).
-
Day 4
Today you’ll make your way over to Ambergris Caye, Belize’s largest island. Choose between one of two routes to arrive to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye: 1) Take a one-hour flight to San Pedro or 2) enjoy a tour activity in route between San Ignacio and the Caribbean Coast followed by a 30-minute flight to San Pedro. For the tour activity, you can enjoy the Black Hole Drop or a combo activity with ziplining and cave tubing! Once you arrive to San Pedro, check into your room at Ramon’s Village and then jump in the pool with a tropical smoothie (rum optional).
-
Day 5
Spend your first full day at Ramon’s Village doing the fine art of relaxing! Swim in turquoise waters off of white sandy beaches, splurge on a beachside massage, or snorkel from their 400-foot dock. Dine on site at Pineapples on the Beach for lunch and walk to nearby restaurants for dinner.
-
Day 6
Snorkel or dive some of the world’s best sites! Hol Chan Marine Reserve, Shark Ray Alley, Mexico Rocks, and Coral Gardens offer excellent snorkeling for all skill levels. Divers will enjoy the on site PADI dive shop (the oldest in Belize) with four different boats offering daily trips in the mornings and afternoons. Belize is a diver’s paradise being the world’s second largest barrier reef (186 miles) and with three of the four living atolls on this side of the world! Some of the more popular dive sites from Ramon’s Village include The Great Blue Hole, Half Moon Caye, The Aquarium, Turneffe Elbow, Ramon’s Canyons, Tackle Box Canyons, Cypress Tunnels, M&M Caverns, The Pillar Corals, and Paradise Canyons.
